Dear Women of South Hill,
Greetings! One of the things that keeps me going, putting one foot in front of the other, is the knowledge that God has called me and created me for a purpose. Even though I fail, suffer, or experience confusion, I know that His call upon my life is something I need to walk in each and every day. Romans 11:29 says “For God’s gifts and His call can never be withdrawn” (NLT). James 1:17 says that “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows” (NIV). Because I know that God has called me and blessed me with gifts, I can persevere with confidence that God’s purposes will be perfected through my life.
This year our Women’s Gatherings will set us on a journey to help us discover His blessing and calling on our lives. Our series for 2008-2009 is entitled “Every Good Gift: Celebrating the Blessings and Calling of God.” Hopefully you can join us on this journey, learning with other women who God created you to be, and gaining the courage to step out in His call.
